Single Ply Membrane Roofing
Single Ply Membranes
Single ply roofing membranes are strong, flexible sheets usually 1.0 or 2.0 metre wide which are composed predominately of synthetic polymer. Thicknesses range from 1.2mm to 2.0mm. Some single ply roofing membranes are homogeneous generally for adhesive bonded specifications, others are reinforced with glass fibre or polyester for mechanically fixed specifications. Lap joints of single ply roofing membranes are hot air welded to form continuously bonded waterproof layer. When combined with a vapour check and insulation they form complete, durable roofing systems.

The Advantages of Single Ply Roofing Membranes:

Ease and Speed of application Clean and lightweight

Mechanically fixed and adhesive bonded systems

Safe, flame free construction using hot-air welding, adhesives and fasteners

Minimum roof zone depth to maximise design freedom

Simple detailing and interfaces with other construction elements

Various colour options with matching profiles for eaves, verges and parapets

Effective control of air leakage to meet new energy efficient regulations

Standard or custom laminated metal profiles for perimeter detailing

Easy repair, modification and refurbishment

Cold Bridging eliminated on mechanically fixed system with the use of thermally broken fastners

Special decorative profiles to give the appearance of lead or standing seam roofs

Strong and flexible with life expectance of 30 years or more
All of which is supported by guarantees, according to the project and specification requirements.
