Single Ply Membranes

Single ply roofing membranes are strong, flexible sheets usually 1.0 or 2.0 metre wide which are composed predominately of synthetic polymer. Thicknesses range from 1.2mm to 2.0mm. Some single ply roofing membranes are homogeneous generally for adhesive bonded specifications, others are reinforced with glass fibre or polyester for mechanically fixed specifications. Lap joints of single ply roofing membranes are hot air welded to form continuously bonded waterproof layer. When combined with a vapour check and insulation they form complete, durable roofing systems.
